Upcycled Glomesh

Oooh I love this bag! I was selling it without the flowers in one of my latest preloved sales over on Facebook recently and Alana from Yumminess Textiles (seriously check her stuff out – this girl can sew!!) was umming and ahhing over buying it. I managed to almost too easily seal the deal with her by offering to upcycle it “Joyess Style”! These pretties usually appear as a single flower on my tie-on headband/ wristlets, but I love love love this little grouping of three together. 

As this is a genuine vintage bag there were a few little signs of wear in the lining – nothing some cute lace trim couldn’t fix! 

I made the flower trim with a pin attachment so that Alana can use the bag plain too, but what a happy coincidence that it doubles firstly as a brooch, but secondly as an extra flourish to the floaty flower headband! (Luckily Alana already has one of these babies!)

It’s in the mail to Yumminess headquarters tomorrow Alana!

jess - Hi Sharon! The original Floaty Flower headband/ wristlet (with just one flower) can be picked up at the Joyess Etsy store (http://www.etsy.com/listing/76261017/floaty-flower-headband-wristlet) but now that I’ve seen the extra flowers added to this one I think I might have to add the “deluxe” version to the shop!
