These hand-knitted (by me!) headbands are made from the softest Angora wool and each of them features unique embellishments including some vintage crochet flowers and trims. These four plus a few more will be for sale at a Facebook Market Night (click the link to the right for my FB page) in the next week or so. Each headband will be one of a kind so make sure you’re there to pick up a unique piece for your little lady.

So anyway… onto the clothes!

And for those with little men, don’t fear! there will be some v. cute items for them too. I already think those scarves are looking like they could be on a Little Miss or a Little Mr!

So just in time for winter I’ll be whipping up a pile of these Audrey Scarves to keep your little people warm this winter. I say “people” and not just girls because I suspect that the navy and grey ones that I’m planning might look just as cute on a little man as a little lady. They are a circle scarf, made long enough to go around twice and not choke (!). The circle seemed ideal to me so there are no ends to drag behind in the mud! I’d love you to browse through these pics and let me know which is your favourite. Do we like the multicoloured version, or is it best to stick with block colours? Any feedback appreciated

We’ve been in our home now for just over a year and it’s taken me a while to really get my head around what to do with his room. He was in a well worn (and bitten) cot until Christmas time, so I thought I’d wait til he had his (tiny) big boy bed before I really put some thought into the room. He absolutely thinks he is the King of the Castle in our home at the mo (he is 2.5 after all) –  a fact both Chad and I are happy to dispute.

Some soft friends watch over Jonty at night – his “Spencer” bear bought from M&S in London when I was pregnant with him, his talking bear and his well loved (and falling apart) Lamby.

Here are some of the nitty gritty (bargain!) details:

Shelves and bookcase: Ikea – both bought on sale, Bed: Target (has a drawer under it too) also bought for 1/2 price, Ottoman: (for mumy and daddy to rest their bottoms when consoling toddler at bed time) bought on sale at Cotton On Kids for $5, Rug: from Spotlight on sale for $60 (was $199!) and Plane: Daddy (Chad) made this for Jonty for Christmas 2011 – it also has a rocker that it sits in.

I had the “J” below in his old room, but it’s now been (badly) painted with leftover blue from the wall stripes and the monkey canvas I made for Jonty’s very 1st room in the weeks before he was born.

One of my favourite friends and WAHMs on Facebook is the very clever Shannon from Milly Molly Mandy. If you pop back to my Christmas blog post you’ll see just how much I love her work! I picked up this felt garland from her a couple of months ago. I love it as an alternative to bunting (although I still love bunting!) and just having it in the room makes me happy

Another fav WAHM is Jo from Little Village Handmade. I was very lucky to be one of the first to pick up one of her Little House Cushions (below right) before the Facebook world went NUTS for them and they are almost impossible to get a hold of anymore! It’s not quite as perky as when we first received it but that’s only because it’s been through a lot belonging to Jonty! Proof that her cushions will survive MULTIPLE washes in the machine and dryer!

My very clever friend Sarah firstly taught herself to crochet and then just whipped up that Hoot softie! Jonty (and I) love him sooo much – I think he’s much more handsome than the ones from the ABC store. He’s only on the shelf at the mo because I’m trying to rotate Jonty’s bedtime toys to ensure some longevity.

I’ve been looking for an affordable quilt cover for Jonty’s bed for ages and had almost given up, thinking instead I’d just look for some fabric and make one myself. THEN I saw this gorgeous set at Ikea and had to have it! It was a single bed size (yet cheaper than their cot size covers – what’s that about?) but that didn’t phase me – I just snippped and stitched and voila! a cot size cover. I still have lots of left over fabric from which I think I might make some floor cushions or curtin tie backs (if and when we put curtains in here!).

And so that’s it! I still think I’d like to put a BIG artwork on the wall next to the bed, but as we may end up having two share this room later in the year I think this will do just fine until then. Hope you enjoyed the tour!

So welcome to our home! Be prepared to be ordered to keep calm and merry on as soon as you enter the front door. I made these embroidery hoops while away on holiday last week. They were super easy with pre cut and pre sticky letters.

Left is my gorgeous white tree from Savannah Lane that I picked up at the first ever Babushka Market last month, right are some plain old jars that I jazzed up with fabric tape from Jilli & James and in the middle are my first ever (of many… as you will see) purchase from Milly Molly Mandy – a sweet felt star mobile.

Here’s our Christmas corner  I must direct your eyes to the divine (ok, not Christmassy, but still divine!) Little House Cushion from Little Village Handmade at the bottom right of the pic. I feel pretty lucky to have one of these in our home – they go super fast whenever Jo has had a chance to make them (in between wrangling 3 littlies!!)

Ornament time! Left is one (of NINE!) of the custom felt letters I had made for our family this Christmas from Milly Molly Mandy and right is one of her Gingerbread men – love him! In the middle is one of the clay stars I made last year. Only Jonty’s and Chad’s survived… mine got bitten by a certain then 16 month old… hopefully he won’t eat any ornaments this year!

Last week on holidays I also made Jonty’s Santa Sack. I love how festive it looks!
Pressie time! This years wrapping features white butchers paper from Ikea, a little bit of stripy ribbon from Typo, hessian tree support webbing tape (random!!) from Bunnings and gorgeous tags from Little Muse. This girl is seriously talented. I almost couldn’t bring myself to put these tags on the pressies because I wanted to keep them! I personalised each of the tags using my little stamp set.

Been working on too many things to count, but SO glad to be sharing my boys Christmas collection with you. A clearly “willing” model helped me with the photos as you can see…

But this morning I took a break and tested out the camera (the one on the front, not the good one on the back) of my new iPhone 4s and had some help from Jonty.

These pics make me smile. And get a little teary if the right music is playing in the background.

I finished off the applique on them and added a little lacey detail to the shoulders. Then I found the cutest little brunette model I know and had her swan around in them while I snapped some pics.
